Sunny spring weather is on the way this weekend, with forecasters saying temperatures could reach as high as 15C (59F) in parts.
A "marked change" is predicted from the chill most of us have been experiencing this week - and some areas of the UK could be even warmer than the likes of Istanbul and Corfu.
The Met Office's Simon Partridge said: "We are going to have some milder conditions and there will be a marked change with spring temperatures from Saturday.
"We have been there already but not for a while. The most recent highest temperature was at Exeter airport. It was 16.5C (62F) on
9 January.
"The mild weather is coming in the from the south west, which originated in the Caribbean area and across the Atlantic.
"Moray in northeastern Scotland is looking to be the warmest part of the country due to the shelter from the Scottish Highlands. It will probably be about 15C (59F) but there is an outside chance of it reaching the high 16s or 17C (63F).
Sky News weather producer Rebecca Yussef warned not everyone would benefit.
"It is not going to be great for everybody," she said. "Northwestern parts of Scotland are going to be very wet and windy.
"With the very mild temperatures, there is a risk of snowmelt in parts of Scotland that will add to the risk of flooding after heavy rain.
"The outlook for the weekend elsewhere in the country is good because of high pressure.
"That doesn't mean there will be wall-to-wall sunshine - there will be clouds in some parts. But for most parts of the country it will be dry and sunny.
"Saturday will see the best temperatures, making it feel very pleasant for most of us."
