Depending on which poll you look at there are between 7% and 23% of Scottish voters who are yet to make up their minds on independence.
With 4.2 million people registered to vote, that could equate to a massive amount of last-minute decisions either way.
One thing the polls are clear on is that the vote will be extremely close, so with just five days to go, the race is on everywhere from town halls to golf courses to try to persuade those "Don't knows".
On a golf course in Aberdeenshire, Sky News went out with a group of golfers - a "Yes", a "No" and a "Don't know".
Les McTavish, a committed "Yes" voter, joked that he would "turn the undecided into a Yes by the end of the round".
However, Fraz Baillie was confident that he could also persuade his friend to opt for a "No" vote.
Mr Baillie said: "He's a No voter, don't you worry about that."
The "Don't know" is Tony Kneeland.
When asked what he was waiting for, he said: "I just want to see some honesty. I feel there are so many lies being told by both sides."
Tony is one of hundreds of thousands of undecided voters across Scotland whom campaigners will be targeting over the coming days.
He says it's a "huge decision".
He said: "On one hand I'm thinking a Yes but then I've got kids and I'll ultimately be voting for them and their future so that's a big obstacle. I don't know. I'll get there."
